In Enemy Hands- "No More Chatter"

I'd like to welcome Jaye Peaches to my blog today!! She's sharing a wickedly delicious excerpt from her new book that is giving me tingles in all the right places.

Thank you, Aubrey for the hosting me today. I’m sharing a short excerpt from my latest release – In Enemy Hands. Hester has been waiting impatiently for three weeks for Daniel to visit. Since they must be enemies by day, they can only show their love in secret at night, when she’s locked in her room.

***

Entering the third week since their declaration of love for each other, Hester slumbered, and only became aware of his presence in her room as the key jangled in the lock. She started, springing up to find him standing over the bed, candle in one hand and wearing nothing but his breeches and an unbuttoned undershirt. He placed the light on the bedside and threw back the covers of her bed.

Hester clutched her nightshift, wrapping her arms about her as he eyed her with a greedy stare. “At last,” she declared. “What if I don’t want you here any longer? I might have changed my mind.”

“Have you?” He rested one knee on the bed. His feet were bare. “You said might.”

Her defiant approach crumbled upon seeing his bare chest. How she longed to see more of him undressed. She shuffled up the bed, hooking her feet underneath her bottom. “Three weeks it has been,” she whispered. “I did not think we would be apart for so long. You do truly want me still?”

Daniel clambered onto the bed and leaned towards her, his lips curving into a smile. “I have fought every night not to dash into this room. When my legs ached, my cold skin soaked by hard rain, my head throbbing from shouting orders, I wanted to be here. But I would not show my love to you unless I was certain I could give you my all and still have the wits to leave you. Secrecy, yes? You do remember the risk we take if exposed. The servants, my men, all could accuse us of treachery. A lynch mob might form or I could be sent to London in chains or you hung from a tree. They might think you’d bewitched me.”

Hester shuddered at the thought of accusations of witchcraft. “I am glad you are with me now.” She uncoiled and reached out to touch his face. In the candlelight, a yellow glow that flickered on his cheek, she traced the outline of his jaw, feeling the soft stubble on his chin.

With a flurry of movements, Daniel pulled her down, flattening her on the bed and his hand unlaced her necktie, unfastening the drawstring. He dived into her cleavage, cupping a breast in the palm and pinching her nipple. She winced, not in pain, but the sheer delight of his firm touch.

“No more chatter.”

Blurb:

When the rest of her household flees the family estate during the English Civil War, Hester Cavell, a proud Royalist supporter, stays behind hoping to protect her home. Unfortunately for Hester, she quickly finds that she is no match for a troop of Parliamentarian dragoons, led by Captain Daniel Hasard. Once the dragoons take control of her house, Daniel lets Hester stay with her servants, but he warns her that he will punish her severely if she causes any trouble.

Despite Daniel’s warning, it isn’t long before Hester risks her safety and attempts to sabotage his troops, earning her a long, hard switching on her bare bottom. But as the weeks pass, she begins to realize that the man behind the enemy uniform is loving, intelligent, and kind, and she can’t help but grow more and more attracted to him. Daniel returns Hester’s affection, and while they remain enemies by day to protect her reputation, they soon become passionate lovers by night.

Not wanting the servants to guess at their games, Hester continues to make a pretence at mischief, and Daniel continues to punish her sternly. But when a servant at last finds out the truth of their relationship, will it bring an end to their newfound romance, or will Daniel cast aside politics and allegiances and ask for her hand in marriage?

Bringing New Meaning To "Get Lucky"

Has a man every nick-named your you-know-what? Do you have a special name for 'downtown,' 'hooha,' 'lady'? Caleb has a special pet name for Kat's happy place, and it isn't 'kitten'.

             AMAZON

“What about you, kitten?”

She rolled her eyes at the nickname, even though it warmed her inside out. When she didn't say anything right away he reached across the consul and squeezed her leg, saying, “Come on. I told you about my dad in prison and you're about to meet my...colorful mother. I've met your sister, she seems nice. I certainly like the way you bristle when she calls you Katherine Rose.”

She gave an involuntary shiver, bristling just hearing him say it. “Ugh, I can't hear that without hearing my sister and mother's voices in my head.”

“I'll make a note of that. Wouldn't want to accidentally call out Katherine Rose while in the moment.”

Her eyebrows went up. “And who says there are going to be more of those kind of 'moments' between you and I?” Arrogant man.

He gave her a look that caused a slow melt inside her and chuckled. His laugh was deep, and when at her expense, often promised wicked things to come. “They'll be more moments, kitten. Besides you have my lucky little leprechaun.” He wiggled his eye brows comically.

She laughed despite herself. “You can not have a pet name for my hooha. That is wrong on so many levels. You especially can't call it your leprechaun. I'm not even Irish! I'm Scottish, French, and English!”

“My pussy. I can name it what I want.”

“It's not your anything.”

“I beg to differ. And if we had time to stop I'd prove it.”

Kat rolled her eyes, “Pa-lease.”

He cut his eyes to her, and she felt the change in him. The air shifted from carefree Caleb to demanding intense Caleb. “Undo your pants and pull them down.”

“What?” They were on a country road, but she couldn't just pull her pants down in the truck.

His voice went deep and stern when he said, “Kitten, you better unzip those pants and have them down by your ankles or I'll pull this truck over. And kitten, if I pull this truck over and have to take those pants off you, I'll whip your bare ass with my belt. I'll do it out in one of those fields, for God and anyone driving by on this county road to see.”

She gulped, heat going straight to her core at his words.

Moving halfway across the country to work part-time at a ranch had been a rash decision on Yankee city girl, Kat Martin's part. She understood that. She had just needed to get away from her pesky mom and older sister telling her what she should be doing with her life. She had no idea her bold move was going to put her in close proximity to her one and only one-night-stand, Caleb McCrae.

Kat may not know what she wants to do with her life but she does know she needs to stay well away from sexy neanderthal Caleb, who had strutted into her life and ripped her pants off.

Caleb is officially done with military life and is ready to settle down. He's bought a stake in the ranch he grew up working at and is building a beautiful house. Now all he has to do is wrangle the one that got away. Kat Martin has been haunting his thoughts and steaming up his dreams ever since she skipped out on him after one of the hottest nights of his life. She may be giving him the cold shoulder now, but he knows just how to heat her up.

Warning: Contains one crystal ball reading mama, one gal with commitment issues and a sassy mouth, and one cowboy that believes his belt was meant for more than holding up his pants.

*Contains graphic sexual content, including anal play, anal sex, spanking, bdsm elements. If these things offend you, this book is not for you.

Chasing Delia

My book The Loved One is now titled Chasing Delia, and it's going to be available for purchase in a few weeks!!

I know you're excited as I am. To celebrate this momentous occasion I thought I'd share an excerpt from my upcoming book. Jake--our hunky hero-- is about to chastise Delia's bottom.

“Now I owe you a spanking.”
Her cloud of contentment cleared a bit at his words. “Spanking? For what?”
He brought himself down to cover her again. His weight felt delicious as he nibbled kisses down her neck. He paused in his kisses giving her a serious look. “Honestly, I've wanted to spank you since the day I saw you lying over that hospital bed, this delectable bottom covered in those big floral panties.” So saying he gave her tush a squeeze. “I won't ever be able to see big floral panties without getting an erection ever again.”
She giggled and he continued, “Then you stole my wallet and I knew I didn't just want to spank you. You deserved a spanking,”
At this she huffed, “Borrowed. I borrowed your money. I left all your credit cards, IDs and wallet.”
He just gave her a stern look before continuing, “Then there is the fact you went out last night wearing little more than an eye patch as a shirt.”
“I was wearing quite a bit more than an eye patch!”
He continued as if she hadn't spoken, “And you proceeded to get so drunk you ended up puking and passing out on me. What if I hadn't been around last night, Del? What if some other guy had taken you home?”
When put like that, she felt chastised. She had just needed to let go for a while, but drinking herself to oblivion at a bar wasn't the way to do it. She wanted to crawl into a hole as she remembered getting sick in front of him. A little bit on him. And in front of Steven. Maybe she'd feel better after a spanking. In a small voice she asked, “You really want to give me a spanking?”
       “Yes,”
“I've never had a spanking before.”
“Never? Not even when you were little?”
“No, I was in and out of foster care. Foster parents aren't allowed to spank us. Only their own kids. The ones I was sent to mostly made me pray for forgiveness. And pray I didn't end up like my mama. And my mama, when she had me, was more likely to slap my face than my bottom. I got good at not being noticeable.”
He pulled a face of concern, “Maybe this isn't a good idea.”
“No” She grabbed him before he could roll off her. “Please, I think you should spank me.” She wasn't sure why she was now trying to talk him into spanking her, but she knew at that moment that if he didn't spank her she'd be a little bit devastated. He wanted to spank her, she'd seen that desire clear across his face, and she wanted nothing more than to please him. “I do deserve a spanking Jake. I've been a naughty girl.”
She said it matter of fact, but interest flared to life in his eyes, and a certain interest indicator pressed against her belly through his jeans, like she had been trying to be dirty. He was smiling again and it felt like lying in the sunshine. “I've never spanked a woman before.”
She liked hearing that. She shouldn't be so thrilled that she was going to be the first woman he hit, but that's not what it felt like. It felt more intimate. Sexy even.
He got up and she instantly missed his warmth. He pulled her up, kissing her deeply before easing her down over his lap. She had never felt so vulnerable and exposed. He ran a hand down her back, smoothing over her bottom and thighs. The caress made her want to purr. She wiggled on his lap against the erection at her hip.

With the delivery of one Dear John letter and a set of divorce papers, Delia Myers is on a her way to self discovery. First stop: Embracing she's a terrible judge of character. Especially when it comes to men.

Jake Forrester is a small town cop, who is beyond charming, and hunky enough to have every female in a hundred mile radius panting after him. Basically everything she is trying to avoid. Too bad he's been determined to chase after her from the second he's laid eyes on her over sized floral granny panties.

She may run, but can she hide from love?

Warning; Contains one no-good, cheating ex-husband, a heroine with a propensity to make a run for it, and a hero that has a new found love for spanking a certain sassy woman who runs from him.

Chasing Delia is a contemporary romance with spanking--because those are the best kind.
