Alien Indiscretions

I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say this book had me freaking out from page one. Okay, not the normal prologue, page one. Everyone knows that's for the newbies.

No, the gut punch of a prelude. We find out some major news that set some catastrophic sh%# in motion. If you follow Tracy St. John, you know she's been teasing us with ominous claims that everything in Kalquor was going to be changing come Book 9. All we hapless fans could do was speculate.

There will be no spoilers here, but Oh. My. GOD. The huge subplot of this book rocked the foundation of my favorite make believe world. The goings on had me biting my nails and turning pages--when I wasn't rereading some select dirty scenes.

Fans of Kalquor are going to be freaking the f#@% out. I know I am. This book gave me a bit of a book hangover.

I feel like I've been waiting for Cissy and Clan Diltan's story forever. Alien Indiscretions blew me away. It was well worth the wait and exceeded my expectations. Tracy St. John seamlessly blends the weightier undertones of the subplot with the light, gloriously sexy main story.

Cissy is all that we could ask for in a fabulously naughty heroine, with a big heart. Like most all Tracy St. John's heroines, Cissy is not only relatable but the kind of person I'd want to hang out with. She takes one look at sexy, dynamic Diltan and wants nothing to do with the man she knows must be an arrogant prig. How can he not be?

Now for Clan Diltan...Diltan is the naughty councilman we met in Alien Interludes, An Improper Proposal. Since that story Diltan has been on the straight and narrow. When Cissy and Tasha land on Kalquor, he actually has no plans in pursuing either sister. He's had quite enough of the Imperial Fam, thank you very much.

Then his clan is unexpectedly matched up with Tasha, the seemingly prim and proper sister. On paper she is the perfect Matara for Clan Diltan. His Imdiko, Wal, is a high ranking judge and his Nobek, Rolat runs the correctional facilities of Kalquor.

Clans in Kalquor have limited opportunities to claim a Matara. Women are limited, and you can't even date one unless you've come up in the lottery. He owes it to his clan to at least try dating Tasha.

But when Diltan, Wal, and Rolat show up for the date all they can see is Cissy. Every wet and glistening inch of her delectable body. Wal and Rolat are very vocal in their preference for Cissy. They know which sister they want as their Matara, and they are willing to play dirty to get her. Diltan is a little more reluctant to accept his attraction to the unsuitable, wild sister, but damned if he was going to let her date young unsuitable clans when she should be theirs.

The Diltan/Cissy clash is yummy to read, and makes it all the more satisfying when they finally admit they love each other. The chemistry between Cissy and all three men is electric. I adore Wal and Rolat. They tempered Diltan's self importance and helped not only the reader see Diltan as a loveable character, but Cissy too.

The story blew me away, and the sex...

Oh yeeeeaaahhh

Tracy St. John did it again. The sex scenes are plentiful, and so damned hot. If you're not biting your lip and squeezing your thighs together in arousal while reading these love scenes, you need to check your pulse. Or consult a doctor.

Though most of the Kalquor series could be read as standalones, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this one might not have as much of an emotional impact for readers not familiar with the other books in the series.

If you haven't read this book, strap in. It's quite the ride!
